Social Security Statement Walkthrough

If you are NEW to SSA.gov

• Visit the Social Security Administration website using the button above
• Select 'Create your account'
• Select the small blue link at the top of the page 'Create an account with Login.gov'
• Select the 'Create an account' Tab so it is highlighted blue
• Enter Email Address (note: the same email address cannot be used for multiple ssa.gov accounts)
• You will receive an email to confirm and continue the registration process and create a password
• You will be prompted to provide a secondary authentication 
• A new page will open to input your personal information 
• You may be asked to login again
• You will then be able to download your Social Security Statement 

If you are RETURNING to SSA.gov

• Visit the Social Security Administration website using the button above
• Select 'Sign in'
• Please note: SSA has updated its login system so you will choose from one of the three sign in options listed
• SSA is transitioning to using 'Login.gov' only
• You may be prompted to transfer or create a new login
• If needed, there is a 'Forgot your password?' option at the bottom of the Sign in page.
• Once logged in, you will then be able to download your Social Security Statement
